The reading of the UID on the badges is being used to track and record peoples’ whereabouts at events

The UID may be used to control access rights to the session

Some readers will record date and time of attendance only whereas others can be used for more advanced verification/right of entry purposes

Other readers can have a copy database loaded; others interrogate the main database on the PC/Laptop via a LAN or wireless network

The wireless scenario provides for a permanently up-to-date database of concurrent records available in real time
