Since 1986, we have been manufacturing secure ID cards
and writing Digital ID Card software for ComPic. IDentilam
is the longest established writer of digital ID card software in the world – often
we will ‘handshake’ with
3rd party software to provide seamless integration of varying functionality
for the client.
Our standard ComPic (Computer Photo ID Card software) is sold to many Corporate and Government organisations; currently the largest UK installation comprises 30 sites, where we have facilitated the exchange of access control and personnel data into one master database. We also supply our standard ComPic software to smaller end users and our after sales service is the same high level to all clients.
In the Event Industry our experience covers, sporting world cups, government summits, seminars, Corporate AGMs and product launches; we provide a pre event accreditation service as well as onsite during the event. Software and equipment can be purchased or rented from us.
We provide full TURNKEY solutions from consultancy through to supply of software, machinery and materials.
Our reputation is your guarantee.
As a company we are constantly reviewing and improving our performance in
Corporate Responsibility.
Corporate Responsibility is about examining the economic, social and environmental impact of our day to day business practice. We attempt to minimise the negative effects and maximise the positive.
Our concentration
broadly covers 4 areas:
• Suppliers
• Employees
• Community
• Environmental
Suppliers
Our selection criteria for suppliers considers
their being –
• ISO 9000/2001 approved
• Local to our premises
• Those who have a sustainable environmental
policy
Our contention is that suppliers who follow these criteria are generally more reliable and professional, whilst guarding heavily against waste. Much of our own materials processed in our factory have been reprocessed and where materials cannot be reprocessed we ensure that their disposal carries no ‘toxic’ dangers.
Employees
We value our employees and we endeavour to be flexible and considerate with
combining work and lifestyle.
Separate rest areas, internal and external are made available for staff. All staff are assessed bi-annually and full analysis of their wants and desires are taken into consideration. Every member of staff has access to further training and both external and internal training is constantly being carried out. Training covers a wide gambit from forklift driving, speaking in public, presentation skills, languages, project management, software programming, using ‘Office’ software and sales and marketing.
Staff are encouraged to ‘grow’ both
in skill sets and personal confidence, being mentored as
appropriate.
We also promote evenings out together, team building days and mutual consideration.
Community
As a company our success is shared with employees but we especially engage
our potential to help the community and specific charities and grass roots sports
as much as possible.
Over the last 2-3 years upwards of £35,000 has been ‘ploughed
back’ into
supporting
such ventures as –
• Children in Need - £12,000 donation
• Chase Hospice Care for Children - £1,000+
• IDentilam Horsham Cricket Academy £25,000 (£22,500 matched by Sportsmatch.
This is the largest grass roots academy, of its kind, in the UK)
• IDentilam Colts Cricket - £1,500
(over 50 teams play every week in the summer)
One of our staff is a trainer
for the Duke of Edinburgh award; another cares for a lady
of over 100, as primary unpaid carer – although not a relation. Many
staff support,
by donations, children overseas.
We acknowledge that as a company – which translates to ‘people in the company’ that we have the ability to give, and we deliver.
Environmental
Many of our internal files are ‘on their last legs’ before they
are disposed of – we reprocess paper as well as returning empty printer ink cartridges. We only
change our mobile phones every 5 years as we are conscious of the heavy wastage associated with mobile phones.
All our production off-cuts are separated for waste or reprocessing disposal.
We operate a strict ISO 900/2001 policy to make sure that the minimum possible waste is incurred through set procedures and strict quality management.
As well as protecting the environment these policies also improve our ‘bottom line’ enabling us to continue improving our performance.
We are conscious and proud of the way we manage and control our business and have high regard for our Corporate Responsibility/Governance.
